Wow!   we have been open for ten years !!

We have enjoyed meeting and getting to know hundreds of wonderful people who keep coming back to enjoy the quiet, relaxed atmosphere at a round on our scenic course. As we reflected on ten years in business, we  evaluated what we have accomplished, what had and hadn't worked, and what still needed to be done.

Our goal in the beginning was to build a challenging course on the land available. This was accomplished, almost too well as many of our casual golfing clientel found it discouragingly difficult. To address this, in the spring of 2009 we cut down a lot of trees between # 4 & 5 fairways, in front of # 6 green, and along the left side of # 8 fairway widening and straightening the fairways. In November 2009, we pulled all the stumps and took out some brush by the # 4 green, raising and leveling the back half, filled in the sand trap and burned up along the back. This turned out mostly quite well. Still needs a bit of top dressing and leveling.

We plan to work on more greens in the future, namely #'s 5 & 7, and level # 9 back half, # 2 & 8 expand and level. We also filled in the bunker on the right hand side of #6 green and enlarged the apron on that side, sloping it towards the green.

Working on Tee boxes, we removed the mat on the #3 white tee box  and rebuilt and seeded it to grass. It should be ready by summer time, giving us 4 tee's on #3.

We are also planning more new tee boxes for #5 & #7 fairways  to match the changes coming to these greens.

Improvements were also added to the irrigation system, extending some lines, plumbing on the new  deep well, making one reservoir bigger, digging two new reservoirs, plumbing reservoirs and water sources together. We still need to get a bigger pipe bringing water to the pond where the pump is at and put water to the biffy between # 6 green and #9 tee boxes.

Important news!

We are also nearing completion on buying out our land ownership partner P.T.L. We have been working on this for 2 years. Also we have issues with our clubhouse that ned to be addressed. It has worked the 10 years that we originally expected it to.
